At the beginning of the third millenium the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. And we can also add that the richer get safer the poorer get unsafer... a Tsunami like the one on 26th December would have caused not more than 10 deaths in Japan or in the Hawaii... imho after the first aid we all have to think to do something to avoid disaster like this... and please donate as much as you can to them...
All'inizio del terzo millenio i ricchi diventano piu' ricchi e i poveri piu' poveri. E possiamo anche dire che i piu' ricchi sono piu' al sicuro e i piu' poveri sono sempre meno sicuri... un tsunami come quello del 26 dicembre non avrebbe causato piu' di 10 morti in Giappone o alle Hawaii... dopo il primo soccorso doveroso tutti noi dovremmo pensare a qualcosa per evitare che disastri del genere possano ancora accadere... e per favore donate quello che potete a quelle popolazioni...

Nightswimming

Nightswimming deserves a quiet night.
The photograph on the dashboard, taken years ago,
turned around backwards so the windshield shows.
Every streetlight reveals the picture in reverse.
Still, it's so much clearer.
I forgot my shirt at the water's edge.
The moon is low tonight.

A trullo is an ancient little building made of stone, formed by a circular or square base and a cone-shaped cupola, on top of which there is usually a pinnacle there is often whitewashed, therefore it stands out of the grey stones under it; this building is generally quite small specially if compared to a modern house. You can find them near Alberobello and Locorotondo two towns in the wonderful Puglia... yes I like Puglia and I swear, I am not paid by tourism office...

Another nice place in Puglia. Among the other one good reason to show holidays' pics is that for some minutes you go back a life another little time those moments... So I can say my holiday was not only 10-days one but it still lasts... 
Un'altro nel posto in Puglia. Tra le altre una buona ragione di mostrare le proprie foto delle vacanze sta nel fatto che per qualche minuto si possono rivivere quei momenti... Cosi' posso dire che le mie vacanze non sono durate solo 10 giorni ma durano tuttora...

Hard times for italian economy: so many people have to find new solutions to earn money. This guy is a wavehunter: he works only on rough sea days and captures waves to resell to the surfers in the smooth sea days... hard job, man... the secret is to move slowly whatever happens around you... just kidding, but wouldn't it be nice to have a job like this?
Nuovi lavori: cacciatore di onde
Tempi duri per l'economia italiana: così molta gente deve inventarsi nuovi lavori per guadagnare qualcosa. Questo ragazzo è un cacciatore di onde: lavora solo nei giorni di mare mosso per prendere delle onde da rivendere ai surfisti nei giorni di mare calmo... lavoro duro, ragazzi... il segreto è muoversi lentamente qualsiasi cosa accada attorno a te... scherzo, però non sarebbe male fare un lavoro così?
